Bespoke Design, Building, Landscaping and Architecture Company
Added by TribalAdmin, 4 November 2008
I wanted to start my own business to gain independence, and for the long-term prospects, so I set up a bespoke design, building, landscaping and architecture company.

I came to HBV because I needed advice on starting up a business. The helped me greatly with writing up a business plan, structuring my business, and they also provided me with financial advice. They helped me to build more confidence in developing my business.

The best thing about going into business is achieving independence and working with my best friend. It also means that I have no-one to answer to. The worst thing is that during the first six months, I was insecure in terms of finance.

We have found some aspects of going into business quite easy, for example the designing process, because it followed from our professional qualifications. The aspects we have found most challenging are keeping a regular track of finances challenge as well as learning onsite skills.

For the future, I wish to include additional products in our services, additional staff, retail sale and a website. I then wish to receive more advice from HBV to help me develop further.

My advice for someone like me who is starting out in business would be to be determined and keep going. You won’t fail through lack of ability, only lack of effort.
